Regional Planner - Economic Development

Support impactful regional initiatives that strengthen Northeast Florida’s communities and economy. This role provides project support and task management across NEFRC programs, with a primary focus on economic development, planning, and policy initiatives.

The position helps coordinate the Northeast Florida Economic Development District Partnership Planning Grant, supports updates to the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), and works closely with local governments, economic development partners, and the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

Key responsibilities include convening regional partners, supporting grant opportunity education and technical assistance, advancing workforce and community development initiatives, and serving as the staff lead for the Community Visioning Program, guiding public engagement processes that help small communities build consensus and shape future priorities.
